Toho unveils a new movie for next year

The King of the Monsters still reigns in Japan — and most other places.

Godzilla’s grip on pop culture and fans started 68 years ago. But, Godzilla’s influence on global audiences has increased over recent years. Remarkable box office resultsAccess to streaming services has increased. 

Toho, an American film studio from Japan that licenses the Godzilla monster to Legendary, said it will make a Godzilla sequel within the year following Thursday’s first anniversary. 

Toho’s first movie since 2005 will be the untitled film, which will be first released in Japan, then later in the United States. “Shin Godzilla”2016 Toho has released few details about the new film, other than Takashi Yamazaki — a prolific filmmaker who worked on visual effects for “Shin Godzilla” — will direct the movie.

Due to deep collections of Godzilla movies available on TV and streaming services, global audiences now have greater access to Godzilla content than ever. Legendary’s Monsterverse in the United States, which began with a Godzilla film back in 2014, is now a box office hit. “Godzilla vs. Kong”It also worked in 2021.  

These movies, especially the latest, are the most popular on streaming platforms. “There are so many new opportunities for enjoying Godzilla and being creative with the monster,” Tsutsui said. 

2017 witnessed the birth of Polygon Animation, and Toho Animation. Trilogy of animeNetflix will feature Godzilla as a streaming option, and Legendary Television will offer Legendary Television. a Godzilla seriesExecutive producers from Toho, Apple TV+ and Apple TV will produce the series. The show will take place in the same universe that the Legendary films.

Some people have given their support to the series. Star powerKurt Russell (father-son actor) and Wyatt Russell joined the cast this summer.

“Toho came to me awhile ago and wanted to me create something really epic,”Xue Rahey recommended that special effects be shown, particularly the heat ray Godzilla. 

Xue Rahey had received several requests to create Godzilla nails before. This time, she made the sets using special effects like thermal color changes. To win Godzilla Nails, enter the contest on Thursday. 

Special showcases of Toho movies will be held in cinemas Thursday.
